[Not my pic. i pow it here]
Have you seen the Astro commercial ad about a beehive woman who acting like a foreigner, come to eat at Tok Wan's stall? Tok Wan asked her "Nak makan ape? Spaghetti? Fettuccine?" (What would you like to eat? Spaghetti? Fettuccine?) and the woman answered "Umm...Saya tak nak chili.." (No, I don't want chili..). so today i want to show you how to make fettuccine that has chili inside (of course the woman would not want to eat my dish lol). The dish is called: Cocktail Olio with Sweet peas.
INGREDIENTS:
A pack of Fettuccine (any brand, there are a lot of italian fettuccine in the market. Find one that suits you.).
A pack of chicken cocktail (I used black pepper cocktail. you can use any flavor of cocktail that you like. i also cut them into two).
A pack of sweet peas (Look for the beautiful one, and fat one. it is much crispier than the thin one, my mum told. cut into two).
A bunch of red chili (usually in Pizza Hut's Prawn Olio, they use dried chili. I don't know where my mum put the dried chilli, so I used red chili instead).
Onions and Garlics (I love these two, i put quite a lot, about two onions and a cut of garlics. don't forget to cut into cubes first).
A pinch of salt
This how salt look like in molecule scale.
Palm cooking oil ( I think i used Labour brand).
That's it! It's quite an easy recipe, i think. And not to forget, pan, cooking cutleries, eating cutleries and bowl are needed too. If not, how can you cook and serve? Lol
First of all, we must cook the fettuccine in hot water, added with some salt. once you rinse it, put it aside. now, let's concentrate on the main thing.
Okay, first, put the frying pan on the stove. Don't forget to ignite the fire too, otherwise nothing will happen. put some oil, i mean a lot of oil about 3 spoon of oil. now let the oil get excited to higher level (influenced by the excitation of atom molecules lol). once you see hot smoke arise, throw in the onions and garlics, let them become brown (this is called brownization) and their delicious smell conquer the kitchen. now, put the cocktail into the pan and let it cook for awhile. Now let the red chili and sweet peas swim into the sea of cocktail, put a pinch of salt and sugar. Oh God, that just look so beautiful! And now, the moment we have waiting for: the tossed fettuccine were put inside the pan. mix them well until they look integrated. cook for awhile, and shut the fire off. transfer them into a bowl, and....voila! Here's the Cocktail Olio with Sweet peas! Bon Appetit!
[This is my cocktail olio look like in the end. it lost 5 minutes later, found traces of them in the toilet bowl an hour later. this pic is mine. other pics above are not mine, found in their respective sites]
