Qur'an Daily

(Surah Al-Baqarah: 159-160)

Hadith Daily

Narrated 'Abdullah bin Abbas :

Al-Fadl (his brother) was riding behind Allah's Apostle and a woman from the tribe of Khath'am came and Al-Fadl started looking at her and she started looking at him. The Prophet turned Al-Fadl's face to the other side. The woman said, "O Allah's Apostle! The obligation of Hajj enjoined by Allah on His devotees has become due on my father and he is old and weak, and he cannot sit firm on the Mount; may I perform Hajj on his behalf?" The Prophet replied, "Yes, you may." That happened during the Hajj-al-Wida (of the Prophet ).

KISAH LAMA TAPI BARU KUAR...part I

Ceritanya cam gini, mase tu kitorang tengah jalan-jalan window shopping a. pastu ibu ku tibe-tibe teringat nak beli wisel untuk dibuat main bersama kanak-kanak di taska (ibuku keje kat taska, sebab tu die main bersama kanak-kanak di taska). pastu sampai satu kedai tu, ibuku terbau ade bau hangit semacam, macam orang masak megi hangus. aku pun perasan gak. pastu orang kedai tu pun cakap kat membe-membe die "eh, korang ade bau hangit tak?". kitorang ingat tu bau kedai refleksologi urut2 kaki yang kebetulan ade dekat2 situ (busuk gile kaki pelanggan tu, bau hangit sangat). pastu bile kitorang kua dari kedai, kitorang nampak asap putih kat siling. ibuku pun buat gaya sengal "hah, dapur terbakar! jom kita lari" die pun lari anak-anak, ala2 berlari di padang bunga gitu. tapi aku jalan macho lagi la. haha~

pastu masa aku singgah satu kedai pc ni nak beli air-con laptop, kitorang dengar orang keco2. rupenya asap tadi dah merebak mengakibatkan panik orang ramai. maka kami pun bergegas la lari (tanpa melupakan air-con laptop yang berharga 100+ tu). Jaga Ampang Point pun dah mengarahkan kedai2 ditutup dan orang ramai menggunakan tangga, jangan guna lif. mulanya aku rilek lagi la sebab tak nampak pun api. tapi yang buat aku chuak tu, ade jugak orang yang panik bagai babi yang kandangnya terbakar, lari bagai nak rak. aku tengok pun cuak jadinya.

kami turun naek tangga (jap2, macamane nak tulis ayat ni dengan btol? ha, kami turun menggunakan tangga) sampai la selamat keluar. pastu kitorang gi a kat tempat parking keter yang terletak di belakang ampang point tu. rupanya kebakaran tu ade kat belakang jugak. banyak lak tu umat-umat yang seronok tengok. jangan ingat aku kencing korang, aku ada gambarnya. hahaha~ nah amik ni...

Gilebabeh ah. Wei, gamba ni aku punye la]

[Eeii....comelnye adik ni...Adik, gamba ni abang punye tahu]

[Spektator-spektator (penonton-penonton) yang seronok menonton kejadian itu. abangla dan abangdon(abang indon) pun ade tahu. tapi apa-apa pun, gamba ni aku yang punye]

[Asal muke abang niger ni ade kat tepi ni? adush...wat rosak gambar je. gamba ni aku punye]

[Dah, ko dok tongah pulak...aku malas nak cakap lebih, kang orang kata aku racist pulak. skali lagi, gamba ni aku punye]

Pada akhirnya, aku rasa tiada yang hangus kot (kecuali abang niger tadi tu). kitorang pun pastu gi minum2 kat mamak kat belakang, dekat dengan kedai nombo hekor sports toto, walaupun sebelum tu kitorang baru je pas makan nasi ayam hailam damansara cawangan ampang yang kat depan hospital ampang puteri tu. kalu korang nak makan kat situ, makan la. sedap gile tahu. kedai tu dah jadi kedai nasi ayam official keluarga kitorang. at least sebulan sekali misti ada makan situ, walaupun time tu aku kat UTM, x dapat merasa. waaaa....sekian je lah. fufu~

Islam masih agama terbaik dunia

Kenapa saya cakap macam ni? haha..ini kerana, saya terbaca kat muka surat depan surat khabar UTUSAN MALAYSIA (Malaysian Messenger) hari ini bertajuk 'Pencuri dapat sedekah AS$40'. tak sangka, baik gile encik Muhammad Sohail tu. meh la aku cite skit ape yang berlaku. encik Sohail ni cashier kat satu kedai serbaneka kat Long Island, NY. pastu satu malam tu,ade perampok datang nak rompak kodai die. pastu die berjaya mengacukan raifal die terhadap penjinayah berkenaan. penjinayah tu takkut sangat dan menangis serta merayu "saya takde duit, saya xde makanan, saya xde kerja nak tanggung keluarga saya" pastu en. sohail ni bagi USD40 dan sebuku roti kat orang tu dan berkata "jangan merampok lagi tau" seraya melepaskan penjinayah terbabit.

Aku pun terpesona dengan kebaikan encik sohail. kat artikel tu ade bagi alamat laman sesawang yang ade video survilans (surveillance video) kodai tu, iaitu www.newsday.com. aku pun gi la check, nak tengok video tu. malangnya xleh nak load video sebab kena block (siot tul). korang kalau nak tengok, gi la kat laman bebawang sesawang tu.

pastu kan, adela die buat satu poll untuk pembaca laman itu bersoalan "Would you have forgiven the robber?" adakah anda akan memaafkan penjinayah itu? didapati 60.6% memilih untuk mendakwa penjinayah tersebut, manakala 39.4% yang lain memillih untuk melepaskan saja dia. keseluruhan responden adalah 1795 responden termasuk aku. hal ini menunjukkan bahawa ramai lagi orang yang kejam kat sanun dan hanya sikit orang sahaja yang berjiwa seperti encik sohail. islam mengajarkan umatnya berbuat baik kepada manusia sejagat, dan itula yang encik sohail buat. baik gile encik sohail. tahnia! tahnia!

[Nila gambar encik sohail tu. gambar ni bukan aku punye. gambar ni James Carbone yang punye.]

The Ten Commandments of Islam

[This is how the Ten Commandments were given to Moses ACCORDING to Judeo-Christian belief. The photo shown is just for decoration purposes, and it's not mine. I get it here]

Are you shocked with the blog title? Do not worry. It’s true. But I am not trying to deliver new teaching to you. All the teachings that our lovely Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) preached is complete. I’m just want to share you things that you maybe have never heard of.

In the Ten Commandments, there contain 10 order from God to the people of Israel via Prophet Moses (Musa). It was given in the form of stone tablets, and Prophet Moses gave the Commandments to Israelites during the third month of their exile from Egyptland.

But what I try to deliver to you is not about the Ten Commandments based on Jewish or Christian interpretation, albeit the commandments of Judaism-Christianity and Islam are more or less the same. Now let me present to you the Ten Commandments of Islam:

1. Worship only God: As a Muslim, we should know that we must and solely worship Allah the only God of Islam, Judaism and Christianity. From Quran excerpt:

Take not with Allah another object of worship; or thou (O man!) wilt sit in disgrace and destitution. (17:22)

2. Be kind, honorable and humble to one's parents: Our Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) also taught us to be kind to our parents. Quran excerpt:

Thy Lord hath decreed that ye worship none but Him, and that ye be kind to parents. Whether one or both of them attain old age in thy life, say not to them a word of contempt, nor repel them, but address them in terms of honor. (17:23) And, out of kindness, lower to them the wing of humility, and say: "My Lord! Bestow on them thy Mercy even as they cherished me in childhood." (17:24)

3. Be neither miserly nor wasteful in one's expenditure: it means we should not become stingy when it comes to money, especially for the orphans and people with disabilities, and should not also become a waster when spending. Quran excerpt:

And render to the kindred their due rights, as (also) to those in want, and to the wayfarer: But squander not (your wealth) in the manner of a spendthrift. (17:26) Verily spendthrifts are brothers of the Evil Ones; and the Evil One is to his Lord (himself) ungrateful. (17:27) And even if thou hast to turn away from them in pursuit of the Mercy from thy Lord which thou dost expect, yet speak to them a word of easy kindness. (17:28) Make not thy hand tied (like a niggard's) to thy neck, nor stretch it forth to its utmost reach, so that thou become blameworthy and destitute. (17:29)

4. Do not engage in 'mercy killings' for fear of starvation: Quran excerpt:

Kill not your children for fear of want: We shall provide sustenance for them as well as for you. Verily the killing of them is a great sin. (17:31)

5. Do not commit adultery: Quran excerpt:

Nor come nigh to adultery: for it is a shameful (deed) and an evil, opening the road (to other evils). (17:32)

6. Do not kill unjustly: Quran excerpt:

Nor take life - which Allah has made sacred - except for just cause. And if anyone is slain wrongfully, we have given his heir authority (to demand qisas or to forgive): but let him not exceed bounds in the matter of taking life; for he is helped (by the Law). (17:33)

7. Care for orphaned children: Quran excerpt:

Come not nigh to the orphan's property except to improve it, until he attains the age of full strength...(17:34)

8. Keep one's promises: Quran excerpt:

...fulfil (every) engagement [i.e. promise/covenant], for (every) engagement will be enquired into (on the Day of Reckoning). (17:34)

9. Be honest and fair in one's interactions: Quran excerpt:

Give full measure when ye measure, and weigh with a balance that is straight: that is the most fitting and the most advantageous in the final determination. (17:35)

10. Do not be arrogant in one's claims or beliefs: Quran excerpt:

And pursue not that of which thou hast no knowledge; for every act of hearing, or of seeing or of (feeling in) the heart will be enquired into (on the Day of Reckoning). (17:36) Nor walk on the earth with insolence: for thou canst not rend the earth asunder, nor reach the mountains in height. (17:37)

This is just to wake you up. We were seduced by entertainment and hedonism every day, why not read something Islamic sometime right? I’m not saying “you were seduced, I’m still okay”, I also seduced too. So why not share to all, isn’t it? Before I start mumbling, I better get going! See you next time!

P/S: you can wiki-> the Ten Commandments, there is where all my story comes from. I believe the Ten Commandments of Islam that I featured comes from S.A Nigosian, a Professor of Religious Studies at University of Toronto. So that means the Ten Commandment is not coming from the imams. Easy to say, just read the Quran lahhh..

It's been a very very very very very long time since my last post!

Hmm....i actually don't have much idea on what to say in blog, that's why. Furthermore, last sem was very busy for me: Lectures, procrastinated assignments, college club activities, university drama club, huh..

However, now I'm enjoying life as an internal in a governmental agency, working on Malaysian highway probation. but i still have to write logbook every single working day, which is very tiring. i now have 2 week of log still do not work it out yet.

[not my pic! i pow it here!]

Yesterday I went to Alamanda (a shopping mall), to watch Monsters vs Aliens with my brother and our nephews. it was an amusing movie, i can say. Lotsa laugh, eventhough we walked out with neckache (due to the "first-class" seat => 1st row from the front) lol.

before i went back home, i visited the bookstore, to buy my long-waited-to-buy book called 'Ya'juj dan Ma'juj: Bencana di sebalik gunung'. it's a very good book, it really is my genre, history and civilization. it discuss regarding from who they were originated, where they live, where they have attacked and so forth. also, it tells story during the 1st century after the so-called 'Jesus' was crucified. I recommend you guys to read it. can be found in major bookstores. i bought it at MPH. for Malaysian only coz i don't think you can find it outside Malaysia, and it is in malay language too. howwever, the author is indonesian. so try find Muhammad Alexander/Wisnu Sasongko. Ciao for now!

[Again, not my pic! I pow it here. If you interested, go buy now here. Hurry, while stocks last]
